I’m in Love with Cory…
I’m in love with Cory and all the things he does for me. I can’t believe I just wrote that sentence, but it’s true. Cory has been with me for about two months now and he has easily won over my heart.
Honest, I’m not cheating on my husband. Cory is our rolling storage ottoman from La-Z-Boy. He scoots up close to our sofa and holds my feet after a long day. During the day, we spend a lot of time together, because this has become my favorite spot to blog.)
Before I go on gushing about Cory, I should tell you that this is a sponsored post for La-Z-Boy and they let me custom design Cory for my home. But, I never realized how much I would love him until he came into my living room.
When the La-Z-Boy design consultant first recommended an upholstered ottoman, I was hesitant. I worried that we wouldn’t have anywhere to set our drinks. But, she told me that I just needed to give Cory a tray to hold drinks and other necessities.
The tray is a wonderful thing because it keeps our remote controls corralled. Previously, our coffee table used to become a big mess of magazines, mail and several buried remotes.
I also worried that an upholstered ottoman would look like a big elephant in the room.
Far from it. He is the perfect size to provide leg rest for up to three adults. Cory can also be wheeled around and used for extra seating when we have guests.
But, the thing I love most about Cory is this:
He hides an abundance of pillows and blankets. There are plenty of wii remotes and games under that pile of pillows as well.
Although, I discourage the kids from playing inside Cory, I can rest at ease because there are two generous air holes on the bottom and the hinges hold the weight of the lid at any angle.
I hope you understand why I fell so hard for this gorgeous guy. He is beautiful to look at and he never complains when dinner isn’t ready. I think I’m going to enjoy having him around for a while.
Don’t you want your own personal Cory, too?
Be sure to stop by next week. I’ve been giving you some sneak peeks of the living room makeover, but I’m finally going to show you the whole room. You won’t want to miss it.
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post for La-Z-Boy. I am a brand ambassador for La-Z-Boy and receive furniture as compensation for my time and efforts to promote the brand. I was not told what to write or say. You should know that I am very particular about the brands I work with and will always disclose if you are reading a sponsored post.
Moonshine pearl is my favorite…..and the name is cute, too. Oh, and I love the way you can see the finished ottoman with chosen fabric on the Lazy-Boy website!!
Thank you!!
I am liking the oatmeal!

I love the grey ikat fret fabric! Thank you!
I would like a bold blue and green print. Loving your carpet who sells it and how large is it?
Wow! So many choices of fabrics. I like Julep. Thanks!
Love the Versailles fabric! Great looking furniture!
I absolutely love Cover Details:Cover Type:Cover Color:Marine (D107492)Cover Pattern:Chrysanthemum (D107492). It has all my colors and I love the fun design since I don’t have a lot of pattern in the room.
I love this ottoman! Something in navy would be perfect.
I love the fabric you chose.
I love the Biltmore fabric. Did my living rooms in teals and greens so it would be perfect!!
I definitely want the olive one – something mid-century modern. This looks amazing!
I love the fabric you have (Ikat Fret Q104195). This would be perfect for my living room with little kids! 🙂
What an awesome ottoman! My favorite fabric is Alamo. This would be a great addition to our living room and would certainly help keep all those extra throws and pillows clean when not in use.
I’m in love with that orangey/rust Sugarland print. I absolutely love it.
Oh weird. When I first pulled it up, it said Sugarland but that’s wrong… IT IS TANGO. Which makes more sense, haha
How practical! The blueberry looks like it would go well with my patterned chairs.
Love, love, love this ottoman!!! Josie is my favorite print. I so need this for my family room!
Gorgeous! I would love this in the bayberry pattern in Glacier.
This is gorgeous! I would love a Cory! I think the Tiffany fabric would look amazing!

I need one of these babies! Love the navy with stars (starfish?) fabric!
I’d love the black geometric print.
The watercolor floral would be awesome in my house. Loving Aqua as an accent color lately.
Love a big footrest and really love the storage!!
I love the one with the patterns that look like a rusty colored flower. It said Cedar G996007 and I hope that’s the right one. It’s a bold bright print that would liven up my brown leather couch. I need color!
I would love a floral pattern on my ottoman!
What a great piece of furniture! I like the topaz stripe fabric.
I love the driftwood color and also that it has rollers. Great idea!
I love organization! We just redid our bonus room and the geometric print Cory would be perfect for all of our snuggly blankets and pillows as well as “sleep over” bedding for our cozy couch.
I could also fall in love with Corey….
I love your blog and your fabric choice is great! I would choose Cafe B980274 to match the color scheme in my living room. The ottoman looks so comfortable!! Thanks for the drawing! 🙂
I like the globus print andyour would be a close second choise.
Soooo many to choose from! Think I’d go with Ebony (P947150) or Flannel (J135550). Thanks for talking LB into the giveaway – my fingers are crossed!
I’m pretty sure the art paisley would be the man for me…I mean the Cory. I love all the multi colors! I just got a new sofa and need a coffee table but this ottoman would be perfect! Thanks for having this chance to win it!
I love the Turquoise Ikat you picked or the Velvet Geo on your pillow. I would choose one of these because it’s my accent color too. Can we talk about that rug….besides my love for Cory, I’m swooning over your rug.
Love the tourmaline, just like you have. It would look amazing in my new living room!
Modern Ikat!!
Love the green geometric pattern. Perfect for my family room!
I love the color and fabric color you chose! That is exactly what I would want.
Love the color and fabric.
I love the Walnut # 902 because it will fit in with many colors. Absolutely beautiful and so versatile!
Waaaay too many beautiful colors but of the ones I liked best, the color I chose is the same as yours, the Ikat Fret in Tourmaline (Q104195)
Wow! What a fantastic prize. We could really use an ottoman in our basement and I love the grey ikat fret fabric!
Watercolor Peel would be my favorite. what a comfy ottoman and with plenty of storage it would sure get a lot of use in my house.
Goodness SO many choices – but Cory is fantastic!!! I think Cory in Fog would look fabulousin my house. Can’t even begin to imagine everything I can do with him!!!
Looks beautiful!
Oh he is adorable and he could do so much for my living room. I love all of the covers but I will chose Maribella.
Cory would be a great addition to my living room. The Manhattan print would go fantastic with my furniture.
So many beautiful fabric choices – if I’m lucky enough to win I would have so much fun choosing. The beauty and functionality of Cory is impressive.
Oh what a great way to update and adultify my living room. We plan to move soon and this would be a great way to hide pillows and blankets. As I want to adultify- calm and sensitive would be the way to go!!
So many choices! Difficult to choose one favorite but I think my choice is Gran Torino. Would love to see in store!
The Turquoise Velvet Geo or the Tourmaline Ikat that you have would be perfect for my house. What a great giveaway!
What a fabulous giveaway! While I would love to step outside of my style box, I prefer neutrals, like the Oatmeal. Yours is gorgeous!
lots of unique styles and colors. Love the tangerine wavelength – must be an age thing – reminds me of the 70’s….. or was it the 60’s… hmmmmm
The fabric I like is called ore.
Love that rug!
Right now we are using a plastic tub as a coffee table, so a Cory would be infinitely better. I love anything grey or blue and geometric!
I love neutrals, but I really like the Birdsong fabric. Very pretty!
would love any of the greens !! These are awesome !!!!
We would love one in the ikat fret. And good to know about the air holes. I have two little boys SOOO…. You know. They would love this thing.
Its so useful and lovely! I would love a teal fabric. Thanks for the chance to win.
Gosh- what a dilemma with almost a thousand choices. I love the Lagoon, and the Pool in Modern Ikat, but if the leather in a warm brown has good durability, that would tempt me to purchase two matching chairs and I’d be all set. Thanks for showing us the beauty and versatility of this piece.
Loving this ottoman! I have been working on a color scheme for my living room redo. The Ottoman would work wonderful as the contrasting color and a functional piece of furniture.
I just the love Cory in the Bloomerang print and that wasn’t the only one.
I, too, love this ottoman. I have wanted one for a long time and it would be great to win it. Thank you for having this contest and showing an ottoman I have not seen before.
I would pick Cover: Fabric – Geo Damask P115295! I’m dying to add some turquoise into my formal LR!
I need a Cory in my life! Champagne or Basil would look great in my living room. Thanks for the chance!
I would love a Cory in my life! I love the real print that Pretty Handy Girl chose!
I LOVE CORY! In a dark tan leather would be awesome
I am GIDDY about this contest!! our depressing dark brown living room is going to be the death of me:( I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to win and get a pop of COLOR in my world!!!! So I would choose a pretty & bright blue, I think! However, I just spent the last HOUR on the Lazy Boy website & still don’t have a true favorite, because I love SO MANY OF THEM!! Fingers crossed that Cory comes home with me 🙂 I will love him like no other!!!
Lol you had me giggling….for naming your ottoman but then I’d name mine too if it was that gorgeous. I love that turquoise ikat pattern….what a beautiful accent to bring color into a room.
Wow, what a great ottoman Brittany. The one that seems the best for me is Marshmallow (DL981036) but there are so many I love as well. X
Whoops, just now re-read no leathers, so here’s my alternative, just in case. Pebble (B116232) This is a fabric.
I liked the patterned one, I believe it said it was Cedar with a number of G996007. I have brown leather couch and my curtains are basically the same . I need some color so badly and this one I liked had a rustu red flower and it’s virtually just flowery which I want so bad. I would love to win, the only thing I’ve ever won was a bunny rabbit when I was a kid. I know everyone else out there wants to win Cory too! It is very nice and place to stick all those emostes
Just love all the available fabrics that La- Z- Boy has for Cory
I love the collindale print!
anything that is the color of the sea with a subtle pattern…blues, greys and greens for this girl
I think I like Gypsy the best! Lots of fun fabrics to choose from!
Oh my! There are so many beautiful colors and patterns to choose from! If I had to pick just one, I like the Ikat in Pool.
Oh the Cobalt Sussex is so pretty! I’d love to have an ottoman in my living room…especially since the recliner side of the sofa sectional is now BROKEN. BOO!
The one in the top photo is what I’d choose–looks navy with gold overlapping medallions? Looks like a winner from a stains standpoint!
I’m really liking the Abstract design in plum. This would be great in my family/TV area. Thanks for having this great giveaway.
Houndstooth! That would be my choice. And then I’ll have to redecorate my family room so the rest of the room coordinates with my new Cory Houndstooth! Thanks for the great product reveal and the give away.
I love the geometric and anything blue. You blue it would actually work perfectly in my living room!
Love the look of your family room. That ottoman is perfect and would love to have one, myself!
I love the colors Gunmetal or Fog.
I’m not sure I could ever fully commit to a fabric. I just spent 20 minutes clicking different options. I think for now I’ve settled on Reflection. I love La-Z-Boy. Our couch and loveseat are from there and they’ve held up perfectly. They’re 5 years old now and look brand new.
Boy do I need that storage space! So many choices, but I keep going back to the “turquoise lucky” color and fabric. I just love all the teals and turquoises!
I like the pattern Regal in Vintage color. 🙂
I think I’d love to have it in a bold floral color!
I love the navy blue with the starfish for a soft nautical touch.
The surf pattern would look amazing in my pale family room with our lovely green couch. La-z-boy might be the only furniture that could put up with constant abuse from my boys 🙂
Awesome place to rest the tootsies and hide the baby gear!
Brittany, this ottoman (otto woman?) looks stunning in your completed living room. I love that it has storage inside AND it is on wheels. As I said in my reply to your living room reveal, I’ll be in the market for some new furnishings soon and La-Z-Boy has moved to the top of the stores to check out. Thanks!!!
I like the simple Navy.
I’ve been looking for a new coffee table/ottoman for our living room – this looks perfect! The Esprit looks so fun and would match a lot of my existing color choices!
I love the turquoise.
I love the leather color rain (FL941993). We’ve just purchased a second home and this storage ottoman would be perfect!
I love this ottoman, and it looks fabulous in your living room reveal! Our living room is full of custom woodwork and built in bookcases, and I think that the Canyon color with the Timbuktu pattern would perfectly match it. It has that sort of old cabin feel to the room.
Perfect for storing all the blankets that end up all over my living room. Your updated living room is fantastic. Congrats.
I really like the julep fabric, but I’m not sure it would match our family room… Hmm maybe I should get a new couch too! 🙂
So hard to choose. They have fabulous selection. What caught my eye is Cardinal (L134907), since it would give a bold splash of color to my otherwise plain and monochromatic living room. How generous of the folks at La-Z-Boy to do this.
OOOOH! I am in love with Cory too! He is fabulous! I love that gorgeous blue ikat pattern that you picked as well. That would be my upholstery choice for sure. THANKS to you and La-Z-Boy for such an awesome opportunity to win.
Thank you for the chance to win Cory! I love the flowered/poppy one!
I would choose the same one you got. Our living room is slowly transitioning from orange accents to turquoise accents, and our old ottoman is looking pretty sad with the new color combination. Yours would be perfect!
Olivia needs a place to sleep 🙂 We like the Marlo – Gunmetal!
This would be perfect to replace our coffee table with active toddlers running around. I would like a linen type fabric I think.
My favorite is Cosmo!
I like the lobster or the mineral, trying to decide what colors to use in the living room since we just moved!
I love the Jade stripe fabric…lots of great colors in it to decorate around.
I think the lobster. Cool storage.
Love the Sterling fabric!!
I think I love Cory, too! He would be the perfect size for our living room. I got rid of our coffee table back when my son was a toddler. He’s 6.5 and I still haven’t replaced it with anything. Many of the ottomans I’ve seen are too large or too small. I think this is a good size and I can always use extra seating and storage. I definitely would want a pattern so I think the color :Jade (P115194)Cover Pattern:Mod Layout (P115194) is the way to go.
I would love to have aCory in our house, I love the idea of having a stylish but purposeful “hiding place” for the afghans and remotes, that also gives us a place to put our feet up instead of just taking up space! I love the lichen fabric 🙂
I love the one in your house! The storage would be awesome!
i am not sure on the colors. I’m colorblind so it’s up to my husband to pick. Probably a red (cinnamon?) or grey would be his pick. However I also kind of like the idea of leather.
I love Regatta. It’s so lovely. thanks for the chance to win a Cory!
Espirit Buckwheat.
I love the Tranquil fabric color.
I love the storage this offers! I would choose a neutral taupe or gray color!
i would love the storage options with this. I cant decide though if I would like this in gray or turquiose though.
The colors in your living room are great!
I love the one you chose, I also like the Pewter one that’s similar to it. It makes the room!
I could really use the extra storage in my small living room as well as someplace to put my feet up! I like the Pebble fabric.
I would love to have something comfortable to rest my legs on and also hide extra pillows and blankets in. It’s so hard to decide on a fabric choice. I either like a plain, soft warm grey like Acorn Astoria or the Ikat Fret )but in Pewter so it would be different than my sister), the Stencil, Bradstreet, Marabelle, New Damask and Sumatra patterns.
The La-Z-Boy headquarters are in my home town, so it’s a company that’s near and dear to my heart 🙂 I’m partial to the Ikat Fret in Tourmaline.
oh, those are way more affordable than I would have thought. I went to the site, and while they’re not showing the Cory, they had a dozen other styles. That “graffiti” pattern and the ” lipstick” pattern are lovely.
I would go for Raven with the lettering. It is bold in the best way!
Oh man Turquoise (Q103895), please 🙂
I love the Licorice (E135054) pattern! So versatile!
I love the pewter. It’s perfect to go with just about any room in my home
